Dear Friend,

We all have what it takes to conquer any challenge that comes our way. Recently, I was asked to write an article on how to self-motivate, especially with exams like NIFT Coaching, NID Coaching, UCEED Coaching, and the NIFT Situation Test Coaching on the horizon. And I’d like to begin by saying: we are all born with boundless capabilities. We are not objects that require fortification; we simply get clouded during the process of pursuing our goals. Let me guide you through understanding the root cause of losing motivation and provide you with some practical tips to reignite your drive.

Do We Truly Lose What We Were Born With?

In almost all cases, we don’t lose what we’re born with. Rather, we simply forget. The key lies within us, and it all starts with understanding the “Monkey Factor.” We are not all built the same, and we have a tendency to slip away from our objectives and goals. This often happens when our goals are not clearly defined in our minds or hearts. If your passion and purpose have not fully taken shape, how can you stay aligned with them? Or is it possible that your original vision has been overshadowed by the expectations of family and society?

Key Reasons for Loss of Motivation

Let’s take a closer look at a few reasons that can affect your motivation levels, especially when preparing for design entrance exams

  1. Unclear Goals or Vision: If the idea of what you want to become in life doesn’t hold enough ground or feels uncertain, it’s hard to stay motivated.
  2. Lack of In-Depth Knowledge: Without hands-on research into the field you wish to pursue, it’s easy to lose interest, whether it’s NID Coaching or preparing for the NIFT Situation Test Coaching.
  3. Impulsive Decisions: Sometimes we make decisions on impulse, without fully understanding what’s required to stay committed.
  4. Lack of Focus: A lack of focus on the goal itself is another factor that leads to demotivation.

Tips to Keep Your Motivation Alive

  1. Surround Yourself with Like-Minded People: Being in the company of individuals who share similar passions will naturally help you stay motivated, especially as you prepare for competitive design exams.
  2. Consume Success Stories: Watch inspiring videos or read about others who have achieved greatness in your field. It can reignite your own ambition.
  3. Keep Practicing: Dedicate time to practice whenever possible. Regular practice reaffirms your commitment.
  4. Take Breaks: Go for a walk, listen to music, or simply take time to unwind. A healthy break can refresh your mind and body.
  5. Talk to Mentors and Parents: Share your concerns with people who have experience. They often provide valuable perspective and solutions, which can guide your preparation for any design coaching classes.
  6. Avoid Unwarranted Distractions: Don’t waste energy on activities that don’t align with your goal. Be mindful of your time.
  7. Read Subject-Specific Books: Deepen your knowledge in your chosen field. Books offer valuable insights and increase your expertise, especially in the realm of design.
  8. Write Down Your Reasons for Choosing Design/Architecture/Art: Document the reasons you chose your career path and revisit them regularly to reinforce your passion.

In 100% of cases, the reasons for losing motivation are within us. We don’t truly lose anything; it’s simply that our focus has temporarily shifted. Our sense of purpose may wander, but with a little introspection and action, we can quickly recalibrate. Remember, motivation is an internal resource that, when nurtured, will always guide us back to the path we are meant to follow.

So, stay strong, stay focused, and keep moving forward. Your inner drive is waiting to be rediscovered as you prepare for design entrance exams in India
