CEED Entrance Exam

CEED is the abbreviation for Common Entrance Exam for Design. CEED exam is conducted It assesses a student's aptitude for design, drawing skills, and creative thinking. MAD School's CEED coaching program covers all the essential topics including Group Discussion and Personal Interviews (GDPI) and provides students with the necessary skills and techniques to crack the exam and secure admission to top IITs.

The CEED Entrance Examination is conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The part A and part B of CEED Exam is conducted in online and offline mode respectively as per the revised syllabus.

CEED Exam Syllabus

CEED question paper has two parts: Part A and Part B.

Part A: (Online-based Exam)

• Part A of the question paper tests the Drawing, Design, Creativity, and Logical Reasoning ability of the students.

Topics that are given below are usually asked in the examination.

• Visualization and spatial ability
• Observation and design sensitivity
• Environmental and social awareness
• Analytical and logical reasoning
• Language and creativity
• Design thinking and problem-solving

Note this about the Part A of the CEED Exam:

• The duration to complete Part A of the paper is 1 hour of 3 hours.
• Part A of the question paper is again divided into 3 sections. Look at the chart below to understand better.

Part A (100 marks)

Numerical Answer Type These questions have no options and are supposed to be entered as a real number with decimal digits up to two places. Questions: 23	Multiple Select Questions You have to select one or more options as the right answer from the four given options. Questions: 10	Multiple Choice Questions Out of the four given options one right answer needs to be selected. Questions: 8

Part B: (Offline Exam)

• Part B of the CEED Examination consists of 5 questions.

• Sketching - 1
• Creativity - 1
• Form Sensitivity - 1
• Visual Sensitivity - 1
• Problem Identification - 1

• Drawing: Ability to draw products, people or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
• Design aptitude: Capability to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.

• It consists of 100 marks in total.
• Part B of the CEED examination is a pen and paper test.
• The invigilator will provide an answer book where you have to give your answers.

CEED Marks - Part A + Part B = 100 + 100 = 200 marks.

There is a dedicated expert faculty who will help students during the coaching to improve their sketching skills for Part B of the CEED exam.

• Age:
  • There is no age limit to attend the CEED exam.
• Number of Attempts:
  • Candidates can attempt CEED for any number of times, there is no limit.
• Qualifying Examination:
  • Candidates must have a degree/diploma/undergraduate degree of minimum of 3 years or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme.

CEED Mock Test: MAD School
