The dates of examination 2020 for the first attempt shall be held in 19th April and the second attempt shall be held in 31st May 2020, whereas last year in 2019 the exams were held in 14th April 2019 and 7th July 2019
While the Maximum marks remain the same in both the years 2020 there has been significant changes in the allocation of marks & towards the addition of one more section based on topics pertaining to Physics and Chemistry. The score allotment for the year 2020 includes Part A with 3 questions carrying 35, 35 & 55 marks which add up to a total of 120 marks. Changes further continues in 2020 with Part B followed with PCM added as a new topic ( Physics, Chemistry & Maths ) with a total of 15 marks of 1.5 marks adding to 22.5 marks and General aptitude and logical reasoning with 35 questions with 1.5 marks each totalling to 52.5 . The year in comparison, 2019 saw the allocation of marks in each section which included drawing carrying 80 marks, and with Maths 20 questions with 2 marks each and Aptitude with 40 questions 2 marks each with a total of 120 marks
Authors take: I do find the amendments that have been initiated by the respectable COA as both challenging & surprising. With students having to carry on the additional burden of preparing towards newly added topics such as Physics and chemistry, they would also have to further emphasis/provision more their time towards Sketching and face the challenge towards the second attempt in a months’ time for the year 2020.
