UCEED Entrance Exam
UCEED is the abbreviation for Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design. It assesses a student's aptitude for design, drawing skills, and creative thinking. MAD School's UCEED coaching program covers all the essential topics and provides students with the necessary skills and techniques to crack the exam and secure admission to top design schools.
The UCEED Entrance Examination is conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The UCEED Exam is conducted both as a computer-based test and pen and paper test.
UCCED Exam Syllabus 2023
In the UCEED examination question paper, there are two parts: Part A and Part B.
Part A:
- Part A of the question paper tests the Drawing, Design, Creativity, and Logical Reasoning ability of the students.
Topics that are given below are usually asked in the examination.
- Visualization and spatial ability
- Observation and design sensitivity
- Environmental and social awareness
- Analytical and logical reasoning
- Language and creativity
- Design thinking and problem-solving

- The duration to complete the Part A of the paper is 2.5 hours of 3 hours.
- Part A of the question paper is again divided into 3 sections. Look at the chart below to understand better.

Part B:
- Part B of the UCEED Examination consists of 1 drawing question.
- Drawing: Ability to draw products, people or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
- Design aptitude: Capability to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.
- It consists of 60 marks in total.
- There is no negative marking for this section.
- Part B of the UCEED examination is a pen and paper test.
- The invigilator will provide an answer book where you have to give your answers.
UCEED Marks - Part A + Part B = 240 + 60 = 300 marks.

UCEED Exam Eligibility

Age:
- Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1998, if from the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category,
- and on or after October 1, 1993, if from the SC, ST, or PwD category.

Number of Attempts:
- Candidates can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and only in consecutive years.

Qualifying Examination:
- Candidates must have passed all subjects in their Class XII or equivalent examination in 2022,
- or be appearing for the first time in 2023. Students from all streams are eligible.
Note: Candidates who appeared for the first time in their Class XII examination in 2021 or earlier are not eligible to appear in UCEED 2023.

UCEED Mock Test: MAD School
