NATA is a two-hour comprehensive exam. The tentative date of NATA I 2021 is April 2nd week and NATA II 2021 is July 1st week. Students qualifying for this test must complete five years of study at a UGC accredited school to start their career. There will be no age limit criteria to apply for the exam. Also, the students must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12. The candidates must have passed 10+2 level examinations from a recognised board. The students must score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. About 450 institutes in India currently offer architectural education for accredited qualifications. However, actual recruitment is done by the relevant competent authorities of the respective institutions/states based on NATA.

The objective of the NATA Test is to measure the aptitude and competence of the students. It determines whether the students are fit to be in this field. Drawing & Observation skills, Sense of Proportion, Aesthetic sensitivity, Mathematics and Critical Thinking Ability are the areas where the students will be examined. The NATA question paper is 200 marks and the total duration of the examination is 3 hours. The Question Paper consists of Part A- with Mathematics & General Aptitude
(Multiple Choice Questions) and Part –B with Drawing.
