The NATA or National Aptitude Test in Architecture is an all India level examination which offers competitive qualification to students who dream to make a career in Architectural Engineering. The exam is being conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) since 2006 to offer students admission in Bachelor of Architecture program in colleges across India. Candidates seeking admissions into BArch degree in various colleges across India must qualify NATA 2021. From 2019, Council of Architecture has decided to conduct this test twice a year.

NATA is a two-hour comprehensive exam. The tentative date of NATA I 2021 is April 2nd week and NATA II 2021 is July 1st week. Students who qualify the test must complete five years of study at a UGC accredited school to start their career. There will be no age limit criteria to apply for the exam. Also, the students must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12. The candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination from a recognised board. The students must score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. About 450 institutes in India currently offer architectural education for accredited qualifications. However, actual recruitment is done by the relevant competent authorities of the respective institutions/states based on NATA.

The objective of the NATA Test is to measure the aptitude and competence of the students. It determines whether the students are fit to be in this field. The NATA question paper is of 200 marks and, the total duration of the examination is 3 hours.
