The importance of portfolio is a duo facto for an aspirant who pursues any form of Art or Design. Design colleges, Companies hiring candidates in the space of Design consider Portfolio as a “De Facto” towards  selection process. A portfolio can be represented through a sketch or in a Digital format. Still life, landscape, figure drawings, portrait, perspective and diagrammatic drawings are all recommended. Two, Three or four dimensional work may be abstract or representational and may range from design projects to fine art pieces or installation documents.

The Frame Work

  • Your portfolio should not be more than 25 pages. An ideal page can be 6-10 pages. Keep it minimalistic
  • Keep your portfolio in a professional 3 ring binder
  • Create tables of content
  • Career summary and goals
  • Skills abilities and Marketable qualities
  • Samples of you work (Reports, paper studies, Projects, CD ROMS, Videos &other multimedia formats)
  • Testimonials and Letters of recommendations
  • References ( college principal, teachers, known dignitaries)
